Where I'm From

I am from separated parents,
where my mom and I live in Berwyn.
my dad lived in Humboldt Park,
now lives in Ecuador

I am from Berwyn.
where I grew up with my family
grew up by my grandparents side
grew up with my mom always being with me
grew up with my aunts love and friendship

I am from two blue line stops,
Humboldt Park and Logan Square.
where the culture is strong
and everybody is family over there.
home I miss like crazy, everyday.

I am from Ecuador,
where it is 3,075 miles away from Chicago
where both sides of my family are from
I go every summer,
but it's another home I miss everyday ...
