LGBT and the equality rights they should have

In 12 countries, the government would kill people for being LGBT. LGBT+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and etc. People who define themselves as LGBT consider themselves as being apart of the LGBT+ community. About 4% of the adult population are apart of being LGBT. Inequality to LGBT happens all around the world. The LGBT community deserves all the equality rights every other human being has.

Although, the LGBT community doesn't have all the equality they should have. Only 23 states have the law for non-discrimination at work. The LGBT community is fighting for this right for all states. What does discrimination at work mean though? It means that people who are LGBT are being fired or not being hired because of their sexual orientation.

The LGBT community is also fighting for gender neutral bathrooms. The reason they are fighting for gender neutral bathrooms is because LGBTQ+ kids and adults don't know which bathroom to go to. They don't want to go to either bathrooms because they feel like they'd be talked down on. That's why the LGBT community is fighting for gender neutral bathrooms. With gender neutral bathrooms they don't have to worry about being talked down on because everybody is doing their own business. Many students from all schools across the states have got in trouble for going to the bathroom they desire because of their sexual orientation. How is that giving equal rights? I think gender neutral bathrooms would be a good idea because they are giving LGBT safety and taking a huge weight off their shoulders

What can we do to stop inequality happening to the LGBT+ community? Everybody can start treating  the LGBT equally. They aren't any different from us at all, they're humans like everybody. We should tell them that they aren't alone. Instead of letting them be teased, be their friend and get to know them. Or, stand up when they are being bullied, defend them. Treat people how you want to be treat. So, don't make them feel any less than what they are.
